IDRC MAPPA’s project partner Development of Biotechnology & Environmental Conservation Center (DEBTEC), Dhaka, Bangaladesh organized a National Workshop on Medicinal and Aromatic Plants on 5th and 6th January 2005. Dr. Madhav Karki attended the workshop. The theme of the workshop was “MAP for Life and Livelihood.”
The main objective of the workshop were as under:-
1) To organize the meeting of different researchers, players and actors of Medicinal & Aromatic Plants and discuss the national and international status of medicinal plants.
2) Introduce the website www.mapbd.com for developing the information database.
3) To prioritize the Medicinal & Aromatic Plants for conservation, cultivation and sustainable use.
